Working as a Sheetmetal Worker you will produce metal (ferrous and non-ferrous) sheet products such as ducting, hoods, lightweight structures, sheet assemblies, tanks and containers using tools, welding and thermal cutting equipment and development techniques. Jointing methods including dry and welded joints are undertaken to pre-determined standards. You will use a wide range of hand and hand tools held power tools and workshop machines such as drills, grinders, benders and lifting equipment. Note: Skills development should be undertaken through an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement.
