We currently have an exciting opportunity for 1-2 Apprentice Chefs to join our team. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for cooking and a desire to learn. Preferably, we would prefer a candidates who has completed their 1st Year of learning, or would like to start learning the industry.

Under the leadership of our Executive Chef and Sous Chef you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of appetizers, salads, stocks, sauces and soups, vegetables, fruit, eggs and flour/starch dishes.
  • Select, prepare and cook poultry, seafood and meat.
  • Operate standard cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, toasters, choppers, fryers, ovens and stoves.
  • Actively participate in team operations to learn skills, duties and procedures.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have the ability to work in a safe, hygienic and professional manner, maintaining all work health and safety standards.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Have experience working in a hotel kitchen environment and completed your first year of apprenticeship, or want to commence their apprenticeship
  • Have a willingness to work weekends, nights and public holidays, learn and adapt in a face-paced Kitchen environment.
  • Able to work with a large team
