Course Overview

You’ll learn invaluable practice management and administrative skills, and receive healthcare industry-relevant knowledge to prepare you for leading a practice to a brighter future. From leadership and management skills to budgeting, administrative, and legal/ethical compliance, through to policy creation and implementation, you’ll learn skills and confidence to excel in your career and drive your practice toward success.

With workplace-based assessments and course content designed around the modern health practice environment, we strive to get you job-ready, competent, confident and qualified to succeed in your practice management career.

The diploma course is designed by experienced facilitators with qualifications in Practice Management, HR Management, Business Management and Education. We deliver a wide range of electives that have been designed in consultation with experienced healthcare professionals to be relevant to real workplace needs along with the right mix of interactive tutorials, meaningful course content and workplace-based assessments.

This course will challenge you, make you think and take you beyond the old fashioned paradigm of Practice Management being about accounts and admin management. You will enter into the new, exciting and stimulating world of the modern healthcare professional and gain the know-how to lead your practice toward a brighter future.

Duration and Study Load:

• Part-time: 19 months
• Full-time: 12 months
• Maximum 24 months

Entry Requirements:

In order to succeed in our online qualifications, our students are required to:

• Be 18 years or older at the time of registration
• Demonstrate the required level of competency in English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills

While there is no formal prerequisite study required to enter this qualification, it is beneficial for students to have some relevant industry experience to assist with the learning application required for this course. This may have been obtained through formal and/or informal training, work experience and life experience.

Technical Requirements

You will need regular access to a laptop, desktop computer or another device with the following:

• An adequate and reliable internet connection
• At least the equivalent of Microsoft Office or Office for Mac, with word-processing capabilities and spreadsheets
• A PDF Reader installed
• Full permissions to install and access third-party software as required

You will also need regular access to a laptop, desktop computer or device with an adequate camera to undertake video calls for assessments as required.

As part of your course, it is compulsory to undertake, and provide third-party evidence for, some assessments in an eligible industry workplace. Students will be required to have access to your own eligible workplace, or an eligible host workplace, to successfully complete their qualification. If you are not in an eligible workplace, you must source your own host workplace that meets the requirements for the course.
