Certificate Description:  Working as an Advanced Fabrication Technician you will apply advanced development, fabrication and welding skills to repair, produce and assemble fabricated components and plant. Welds may be required to comply with AS welding standards and subject to NDT testing. Fabricated components may require forming and shaping, requiring advanced techniques. Fabrications are repaired or produced from engineering drawings and/or transposed from existing fabrication shapes. General workshop equipment is used to prepare, join and finish fabrications to required specifications.
