Apprenticeship – Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician (1st Year)

About the Role

Elite Heating & Cooling is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Apprentice to join our growing team in Canberra. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a rewarding career in the HVAC industry.

As an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and formal vocational education, working alongside experienced technicians to develop the skills and qualifications required to become a fully qualified Air Conditioning Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial air conditioning systems
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot air conditioning and refrigeration faults
• Develop practical skills in the safe use and handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants
• Attend scheduled training and vocational education as part of your apprenticeship
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service

About You

• A genuine interest in the trades and a strong desire to learn the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry
• Willingness to work hard, take direction, and develop new skills
• Good communication skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Committed to completing your apprenticeship and obtaining relevant qualifications
