Transport for NSW is seeking 10 Bridge Construction & Maintenance Apprentices across several locations throughout NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills while working as part of a bridge crew to help construct, repair and maintain bridges and other civil structures.

About the Role:

As a Bridge Construction & Maintenance Apprentice, successful candidates will work alongside experienced team members on a variety of infrastructure projects involving timber, steel and concrete bridges.

Key activities will include:

• Assisting with the construction, repair and maintenance of bridges and civil structures
• Handling, preparing and shaping timber
• Assisting with the construction of formwork and falsework
• Safely operating hand and powered tools
• Working within depots and on active worksites
• Working collaboratively as part of a bridge construction and maintenance crew
• Developing practical skills and experience in bridge and civil construction
