Apprenticeship – Butcher

Sutcliffe Meats is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Butchers (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Year) to join its busy team at the Girraween site.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the meat processing and retail industry while gaining hands-on experience from skilled professionals. The successful candidates will develop practical butchery skills in a fast-paced environment while completing their apprenticeship training.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Butcher, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced butchers to develop skills across all aspects of the trade, including meat preparation, processing, presentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply butchery techniques under the guidance of qualified tradespeople.
• Assist with meat preparation, cutting, trimming, and portioning.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness.
• Support daily production requirements and stock management.
• Work collaboratively as part of a busy team environment.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
