Transport for NSW is seeking 23 Civil Construction Apprentices across 20 locations throughout NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in civil construction while gaining practical, on-the-job experience working on important road infrastructure.

About the Role:

As a Civil Construction Apprentice, successful candidates will work alongside experienced crews to support a range of road construction and maintenance activities.

Depending on the crew and location, duties may include:

• Assisting with the construction and maintenance of roads and pavements
• Supporting drainage and pipe installation and maintenance
• Assisting with concreting activities
• Using a range of tools, vehicles and equipment in depot and roadside environments
• Helping maintain roadsides and rest areas
• Undertaking mowing and vegetation control
• Assisting with general roadside clean-up activities
• Safely assisting with the removal of roadkill where required
• Following workplace health and safety procedures while working in active roadside environments
• Developing practical skills and experience as part of a civil construction crew
