Transport for NSW is seeking five Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices across five locations in NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to learn alongside qualified mechanics while developing practical skills servicing, repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles, plant and mechanical equipment.

About the Role:

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, successful candidates will work alongside experienced and qualified mechanics in both workshop and field environments.

Key activities may include:

• Assisting with the servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles, plant and mechanical equipment
• Supporting mechanical repairs and modifications
• Developing practical skills using a range of mechanical tools and equipment
• Learning how to identify and assist with mechanical faults
• Working alongside qualified mechanics to build technical skills and industry knowledge
• Following safe work practices in workshop and field environments
• Gaining valuable hands-on experience with a variety of vehicles and equipment
