Transport for NSW is seeking a Metal Fabricator Apprentice (Boilermaker/Welder) in Sydney, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical fabrication and welding skills while working on steel structures, including the unique opportunity to gain experience on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

About the Role:

As a Metal Fabricator Apprentice, the successful candidate will learn how to prepare, mark out, fabricate, weld and repair metal structures and components using a range of welding processes.

Key activities may include:

• Learning to prepare and mark out materials for fabrication
• Fabricating metal structures and components
• Developing skills across different welding processes
• Assisting with the welding and repair of steel structures
• Safely using fabrication and welding tools and equipment
• Working alongside experienced tradespeople to develop practical skills and industry knowledge
• Gaining hands-on experience working on significant transport infrastructure, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge
