Automotive Body Repair Technology Apprenticeship

AGA is currently recruiting for a 1st year Apprentice to join our clients locally based Automotive Body Repair Shop. Based in Wangaratta in the north East of Victoria, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual with both a strong work ethic and a clear passion for cars, to be a Panel Beater and complete their Apprenticeship doing Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology. The Role

The successful candidate will be trained up in all aspects of Panel Beating:

  • Learning Panel Beating techniques such as hammering and reshaping panels
  • Preparing panel surfaces through sanding, grinding and final finish preparation
  • Removing damaged parts and replacing them with new ones
  • Learn about body fillers and paint primers
  • Using hand, power tools and specialized panel beating tools and machinery
  • Working in a safe, clean and team environment

This is a fantastic career-start opportunity to become trade qualified. As a Panel Beater, you will receive both on and off the job training working towards AUR32120 Certificate III Automotive Body Repair Technology which will see you employed directly by AGA for up to four years.

  • Physically fit , reliable, punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills and able to work in a team environment
  • Able to commit to a four year apprenticeship
  • Willingness to listen and learn
  • Genuine passion and interest for working in the Panel Beating trade
  • Understand safety procedures and work guidelines
