👉 About the role

As a Customer Service Officer – Trainee, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, delivering professional, friendly and accurate service both in person and over the phone. You’ll support day‑to‑day reception, administrative and basic financial tasks, while learning how a large, customer‑focused organisation operates.

👩‍💼 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with front‑line customer service, reception and telephone enquiries
  • Process basic financial transactions and cash handling under supervision
  • Respond to customer requests, enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Record and action customer requests using internal systems
  • Provide general administrative support including data entry, record keeping and file maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with team members and support other operational teams as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies and procedures
  • Participate fully in training and successfully complete a Certificate III in Business

✅ Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Year 10 completion
  • Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Business
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal calmly and professionally with a wide range of customers
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Understanding of basic cash handling
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check

✨ Desirable Requirements

  • Year 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Previous customer service or administration experience
  • Driver’s licence
