About the role

AGA has partnered with a highly reputable electrical company, and we are currently looking for a highly motivated apprentices to join their team.

In this fulltime role, you will complete a Certificate III in Electrotechnology whilst working across East Victoria. This role will also provide the successful applicant the opportunity to work interstate at times, providing greater exposure within the industrial and commercial industry.

To set you up for success, you will be provided with a living away from home allowance and uniforms and work within a supportive and collaborative team that pride themselves on delivering a quality service every time.

What you will be doing

• Site evaluations
• Power Logging
• Thermographic Imaging
• Cable Sizing and Tracing
• Assisting with design and planning
• Installing electrical systems and appliances
• Repairing electrical systems
• General electrical including:
• Air Conditioning
• Home Backup Generators
• Phone, Data Points and Fibre Optic
• General power outlets
• Lighting and lighting control
• 3 phase power
• Switchboard upgrades
• Metering
• CT metering
• Underground wiring
• Dedicated circuits
• Equipment connection
• Control wiring
• Energy monitoring
• Medical

What we are looking for

• Willingness to travel interstate when required
• Completion of a Cert II in Electrotechnology or recent work placement
• Driver’s License
• White card
• Working with Children Check
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Eager and passionate about the electrical industry
• Strong problem solving and math skills
• Team oriented and cooperative
• Proactive and Safety Focused
