Traineeship – Childhood education

Kenrose Street Early Learning Centre is seeking enthusiastic and nurturing Trainee Early Childhood Educators to join its warm, family-owned early learning centre in Forster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and are looking to start a rewarding career in early childhood education while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced educators to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 18 months to 5 years in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the education and care of children through play-based learning experiences.
  • Assist in implementing engaging programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Observe and support children’s individual learning and developmental needs.
  • Assist with daily routines and centre activities while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Work towards completing a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care through a structured traineeship.

  • A commitment to undertaking and successfully completing a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • A current Working With Children Check, or the willingness to obtain one.
  • A current First Aid Certificate, or the willingness to obtain one.
