Would you like to enter the healthcare industry, working as a pathology specimen collector (phlebotomist)? This course equips you with the hands-on skills and knowledge required to successfully gain a position in this role.

Duration and Study Load:

  • Duration – 6 months
  • Study Load – You can expect approximately 10-12 hours of class attendance each week over 2-3 days/evenings. You are also expected to complete at least six hours of self-directed learning and research each week.

Entry Requirements:

  • Applicants must be aged 18 or over
  • Applicants are expected to have language, literacy, numeracy and communication skills to at least Year 10 level.

Successful applicants will be required to have their full Hep B vaccination prior to commencing the course
