Do you want to help people suffering with a mental health disorder? Are you passionate about psychology and want to learn more about human behaviour? Are you interested in understanding the effects illicit and prescribed drugs can have on an individual and a society? Do you want to learn more about mental health disorders and how to identify them? Then this course is for you.

Mental health disorders will affect nearly half of the Australian population in their lifetime, with 1 in 5 Australians experiencing a common mental health disorder in the last 12 months. This foundation introductory course aims to help you understand the signs, symptoms and possible treatments of adult mental health problems. You will also learn about social psychology and human behaviour, and the differences between common psychological disorders, including identifying their symptoms and possible ways to treat them.
